Team Kelli and Daisy!

Daisy and I had a sea of fans descend upon Boston to cheer us on! I think we had the most fans of anyone out there. :) Of course before braving the T and the crowds they had to stop for a morning beer.

078

Good thing we had Sue there, because Nikki never got on the train. Thankfully I am sure Sue made up for it! Love you Nikki. :)

076

Mike and Renee had a date on Marathon Monday! I was glad cheering us on was part of their date. Looks like they forgot their yellow shirts!

Ummm…looks like JoJo may have had  more than one beer in this picture. Just kidding JoJo!!! Love you!

079

Off to the T! 081

Here is the clan…at least part of it. There is no way Daisy or I could have missed this bunch along the route.  083

Friends FOREVER! 085

Shout out to my most loyal blog reader GRAMMY!! 80 years old and she was running around Boston like a teenager on Monday in order to cheer me and Daisy on. What a TROOPER!!

 086

Off to claim a spot! 166

One of our smallest fans of the day! Getting a hug from Patrick around mile 10 was the best ever! Thanks to all the peeps who came out to cheer me and Daisy on! I am sure I speak for Daisy when I say we totally appreciate the support! It was a super run!

Pre-Race

GUEST BLOGGER: MOMMMY

Today was the day! Singlet and bib were ready to go. Went to bed early to get a good nights rest…was awake all night in anticipation of the big day! The day began bright and early at 4:45. Mark, Kris, and I were out of the house by 5:05! Headed into Boston to catch the bus that would take us out to Hopkinton.  073

You really get a sense of how long you will be running when the bus ride from Boston to Hopkinton takes close to an hour! It was a long bus ride. Nerves were pumping and I could have used a nap.   036

034

Once we got to Hopkinton…we waited and waited and waited. We arrived at 7:20 and we weren’t racing until 10:40! 038

 054

Sneakers laced and ready to go! 058

Marathon Divas! 059  Lets get this race on the ROAD!

064

I am ready to go!062

And so began the 115th running of the Boston Marathon! More pictures to come…of course. 069

Boston Marathon Expo and Reception

GUEST BLOGGER: MOMMY

Today was a great day! I attended the Marathon Expo and Reception! There were loads of people!! These two special little people were there to help celebrate the day. A special hello to Emma and Drew!! Cutie pies!051

First stop of the day was picking up the number. I must say a pretty smooth process considering the number of people running in the race.

001

I picked up my number and I felt pretty official!

002 003

We ran into Debbi, Daisy, and Isaac at the Expo. Daisy is running her second Boston Marathon!

004

After the expo we attempted to get some lunch, after waiting an hour and half for our food, we had to head out because we had other places to be. A liquid lunch two days before the marathon is not really my idea of carb loading!

 005

My mom came with us too! Luckily she was off babysitting duty thanks to Auntie Erin and Uncle Jeff.

007

The FINISH LINE!! Ok, so I didn’t actually run the 26.2 yet, but it was still pretty magical to be there! I think I will be even more grateful when I see the finish line tomorrow!

How cute!! So glad my mom and Mark got to spend the day with me. I am also very thankful for all their support, without them I would just be a spectator again this year at the Boston Marathon! Thanks Guys! Love you!

028

HOPKINTON…Here I come!

029 037

Marathon Diva Kris!

043

My adorable patient partner Emma and her handsome twin brother Drew!

045

More marathon Divas! Meg and Alison!

048

Emma’s mom Sarah! Let me tell you she is one amazing woman. Emma is an impressive little girl, but her Mom is amazing! Such a strong mother and woman. Thanks Sarah for letting me run for your little Princess. :)

Ice Cream Truck

Today was a great day! The sun was shining and the air was warm! Everything thing was calm and relaxed when all of sudden my brother Patrick FREAKED OUT!! He was yelling and running around like a mad man? What could be his problem? He kept screaming something about hearing the song…the truck was coming…I had no idea what he was talking about it! It was today that I learned about the magic of the ice cream truck! Like I said it was a great day.

My Chair :)

Auntie Beth brought me this chair a long time ago..and I LOVE IT!! The problem is I NEVER get to sit in it…probably has something to do with the fact that I prefer to climb and flip myself about while I am supposed to be sitting in it! Nonetheless I love it all the same!
